North Rockland High School students (under the guidance of advisor Mr. Pritsky) orchestrated a successful "Keep Rockland Beautiful" clean up.  Rockland County executive Mr. Ed Day stopped by for a few moments to thank the students.  Over 20 bags of trash and plastic as well as various other pieces of trash were collected along Hammond Road from Suffern lane to Filors Lane. The students did an outstanding job.

Here are some remarks from a few of the students:

"People are slobs..."
"There's just so much trash out here..."
"Why is this done only a few times a year...?"
"Hopefully we can inspire others by our actions out here today to be more mindful of throwing out their garbage and recycling..."
