Talk about hitting all the right notes! North Rockland High School seniors Sienna O. and Alex T. have earned spots in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Choirs, an incredible accomplishment in one of the state’s most competitive student music selections. More than 7,000 students from across New York compete for approximately 825 spots in eight All-State performing ensembles. Sienna and Alex each earned a perfect score on their Level 6 solos in May, performing college-level classical repertoire and completing sight-reading assessments as part of the NYSSMA Solo Festival.

Sienna will sing in the Treble Choir, while Alex will sing in the Mixed Choir at the All-State Music Conference December 3-6 in Rochester, New York. The conference will culminate with a final concert at the Eastman Theatre.

Junior Anthony F. was also recognized through NYSSMA, earning a score of 100 on his cello solo and being named an alternate for this year’s All-State Conference.
