NRHS Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Through Music, Stories and Conversation

Unidos, Somos Más. Together, We Are More! North Rockland High School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a special program featuring performances by Casa de la Cultura, the NRHS Choir and Jazz Band, a presentation by 100 Hispanic Women National, Inc. and a reading of No, No Suelte la Bandera!, an original children’s book by NRHS student Max F.
The celebration also honored Crismelly Morales, Esq., this year’s NRHS Excellence and Impact Award recipient, for her work supporting individuals and families as an immigration and family law attorney. Students continued the celebration with a panel discussion featuring Ms. Morales, Dr. Gabriel Martinez, Dr. Nydia Prishker and representatives from 100 Hispanic Women, who shared their experiences and insights. Through music, storytelling and conversation, students explored the power of culture, community and the connections that unite us.
