North Rockland High School College & Career Center recently took students to the Hudson Valley Construction Career Expo & Career Day at Rockland Community College, an exciting, hands-on opportunity to explore the world of construction. Open to all interested high schoolers, the experience introduced students to the wide range of specialties within the trades. From laying bricks and learning to use industry tools to stepping into VR simulators, students got a real feel for what a future in construction could look like. Opportunities like this highlight the importance of exposing students to the skilled trades, opening doors to rewarding, in-demand careers and helping them discover pathways that match their passions and strengths.
